The mission of our practice is very simple. The world today is overflowing with mediocrity. Every where we look, people are doing just enough to get by. Pride in a job well done and the willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty have all but vanished in the service professions and in all fields of service employment.
Our goal, is to provide excellence in dentistry. We want our guests to feel like guests. We want you to feel like you’ve been heard, like your concerns and wishes have been understood, addressed, and answered. We want you to be treated in our practice like we would treat a special guest in our home. It's likely that a day will come when another dental professional is going to see the dental treatment we will have provided for you. It may be a specialist we send you to or it may be someone who continues your care in the future. We want that person to examine your dentistry and say “Wow! Who did this beautiful dentistry?” Most importantly, we want to “Wow!” you. We want you to feel appreciated and cared for. Let’s face it, nothing is inexpensive anymore and that includes dentistry. We want you to feel like your dental investment was worth every dollar you spent on it. If you desire beautiful, durable, functional, high quality dentistry we can provide it, and we will do it with respect, appreciation, and a true desire to treat you as a valued guest. We appreciate your confidence and trust in us and we will work hard to earn your referrals to our practice.

Stephen D. Muench DDS, MAGD
Dr. Muench was born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Following his graduation from Temple University School of Dental Medicine in 1980, he returned to his hometown to begin a private practice. After a 1989 fire destroyed his first office in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Dr. Muench re-established his practice in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania. His office doors opened in February of 1992. Since his dental school graduation Dr. Muench has been very active in continuing his dental education. He is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida and The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Nevada. In addition, he has amassed thousands of hours of continuing education credits which enabled him to obtain the Academy of General Dentistry’s Mastership (MAGD) award, a recognition that only a select group of dentists (1% in the United States and Canada) has achieved. The Academy requires a Master take a total of 1,600 hours of continuing education in 16 disciplines of dentistry, which Dr. Muench achieved in 2002. Dr. Muench is committed to refining his education so that he can keep his patients care on track with the latest advances and research in dentistry. |

His voluntary association with the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, makes dental care available for disabled, elderly, or medically compromised individuals in Pine Grove and surrounding communities at no cost. He also volunteers his services to Give Back a Smile, a charitable foundation organized by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry that restores the smiles and lives of many domestic violence survivors.
When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Muench enjoys skiing, golfing, biking, photography and coaching soccer for his children. He is an avid reader and anxiously awaits every new John Grisham novel. Anyone who meets Dr. Muench quickly becomes aware of the fact that his greatest passion outside of the office is his family.
